Q-switched Nd:YAG: 1064 nm Nd:YAG, such as in the dual-wavelength Deka Duolite system, is widely regarded as the most versatile wavelength for tattoo removal, as it is highly absorbed by dark pigments such as black and blue.  With the low melanin absorption of this wavelength it brings increased safety and comfort.

The Q-switched Nd:YAG is also capable of non-ablative skin resurfacing, including wrinkle and acne scar reduction.  The treatment requires no downtime and has a low risk of complications for all skin types.  This offers patients an alternative to traditional ablative methods of achieving improved skin tone, smoother texture and reduced wrinkles.

Frequency doubled Nd:YAG: 532 nm is highly absorbed by red and orange targets.  This offers the secondary benefit of targeting benign pigmented lesions.
